A landmark vintage from a near-perfect, drought-driven growing season. Blackcurrant and plum fruit carries a fragrant floral lift, with graphite, pencil-box and gentle oak spice, over a firm, earthy base. Medium-bodied and superbly balanced, it favours elegance and poise over sheer power, with fine-grained tannic grip, lovely freshness and a long, silky finish. Still youthful, with decades of ageing ahead.
