Nose: Aromatic blue fruits are complexed with notes of dark chocolate, warm spice and subtle nougat oak, lifted by a touch of blackberry, liquorice and delicate florals.
Palate: Medium to full bodied, the blue berried fruits are succulent and plush, filling the mouth without being heavy. The tannins are velvety and powdery, framing the palate and providing texture and length, with fine French and American oak carried through from over a year of barrel maturation.
Sourced from vineyards across McLaren Vale, from coastal sites up to where the region meets the Adelaide Hills, this Shiraz draws on varied soils and altitudes for its layered character. 2017 is regarded as one of the region's standout vintages, and the wine reflects the classic McLaren Vale style: soft, velvety tannin with pronounced berry, spice and chocolate flavours. Best enjoyed now through 2030.
