Country: Italy
Region: Piedmont
Grape Varietal: Nebbiolo
Tasting Note:
The colour is a deep garnet red, gradually filled with orange hues with aging. The aroma is intense, ethereal, with clear scents of tobacco, dog rose, spices. It has a strong tarry note. The taste is elegant, with plenty of tannins that are well-expressed but balanced and pleasant.
Food Pairing:
It goes well with first courses enriched by hearty sauces such as meat sauce and porcini, with roasted or braised meats, lamb, ripened cheeses, sheep and goat cheeses. If long-aged, it becomes a meditation wine.
