Nose: Deep garnet with hints of purple at the rim. An enticing bouquet of crème de cassis, sweet dark berries and cherries, mingled with cigar wrapper, pencil shavings, liquorice and lilac.
Palate: Medium to full-bodied, layered and velvety, with excellent concentration and a rich, supple profile. Sweet, well-integrated tannins carry through to a long, penetrating finish, classic and controlled while hinting at the lavishness of the vintage.
