Tasting Notes:

Colour: Pretty bright ruby, garnet reflections.

Bouquet: Notes of cherries, redcurrants, finely woody, elegant, very refined.

Palate:  Beautiful attack on red fruits followed by pleasant structure and silky tannins, fine and delicate. Cherry flavors and notes of roasting (coffee) then continue on a very pleasant length.

Food pairing: Drink with sophisticated poultry dishes, patiently roasted and glazed, game, stewed or slowly braised, or simply roasted but also a couscous or a tajine with meat or poultry or even both. The intensity of Volnay allows it to blend with distinctly flavoured cheeses.
